She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lakeland and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her husband, G. Donald Zirkelbach of Lakeland, Fla.; her son, Richard Zirkelbach of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughters, Joan Diane Zirkelbach of Lakeland, Fla., Barbara Jean Chiariello of Rochester; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Almond Union Church, with Pastor Steve Dygert officiating. Burial will be at Almond Woodlawn Cemetery. She was a native of Wayland and the widow of Francis F. Gaffney and Roy Bates. She was a retired employee of Sears Roebuck Co. in Philadelphia. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Gaffney Burdette of North Hornell, Mrs. Ellen Gaffney Ragiel of Chester, N.J., Mrs. Mary Lou Gaffney Phillips of Endwell; eight grand-children and a great-grandson; a sister, Mrs. Mignon Robinson of Wayland; nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. today in the Walter E. Baird and Sons Funeral Home, Wayland, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. JosephŪs Church with the Rev.
