- Florence died suddenly in the early morning at the Johnson cottage, West Caroga Lake where she had been spending the summer. She was a member of the Fonda M.E.Church and Epworth League. She graduated from Oneonta Normal School, class of 1917. For more than 12 years she had been a teacher in the New East Main Street school, Amsterdam, having a sixth grade class. She made her home with her sister Mrs. Charles Fisher, Fonda who survives her, together with three brothers, Arthur, Earl and Edward.
