Plot: DippyNotes - Miss Dippy's Lamented Death: Miss Elizabeth Dippy died at the home of her mother on Church Street at six o'clock Tuesday morning after an illness of several months of a more than ordinary severity of rheumatism of the heart. All the years of her life were spent in Dansville, and those who knew her intimately know how full they were of all that makes up sum of human happiness--filled to the fullest with filial affection, sisterly duty, earnest and unselfish labor for those who needed help and sympathy, and with a steadfast devotion, which was exhibited in the church and out of it, to the one she called Master, upon whom she ever leaned, and who in the last hours of her suffering whispered the words that comforted and supported and cheered even the edge of the dark river. For her life had its pleasures but having faith in the promises of Him who never fails, she gladly left them to wear the crown which had long been waiting her coming. She will be missed by the aged mother whose days on earth are but few at the most, by the sister and brothers, by scores who knew her but love her, but none will regret that her pilgrimage is over. Her voice which delighted so many here below will be heard here no more, but in another world, we doubt not she is singing a nobler tune, the song of redeeming love. The memory of this good woman will be cherished with feeling of love and respect and her example emulated by all who desire to win the approval of man and the benediction of heaven. Miss Dippy will be buried from the Presbyterian church at two o'clock this afternoon.
