- Hugh graduated Dansville High School. As of 1983, Hugh was working at
Foster-Wheeler in Dansville. He also enjoys hunting and lives in
Dansville.
"Hugh Ray Weidman, 65, of Old State Road in Dansville died Thursday
(Nov. 21, 1991) in Noyes Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Born June 30, 1926, in Ossian, son of Ray and Addie Linzy Weidman, he
was married to Ann Harris, who survives.
Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was a class welder at the Foster
Wheeler Corp. plant in Dansville for 38 years. He was an avid hunter
and gardener.
He was a member of the Hornell Eagles, a 38-year member of Hornell
Moose Lodge 210, a member of the Wayland Rod and Gun Club, the
Dansville Fish and Game Club, the Jackson Hose Fire Co., the Powers
Inn Club. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, and
a member of the Foster Wheeler 25-Year Club and the International
Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers.
He served as a Livingston County Dog warden for several years.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Douglas of Falls
Church, Va.; two daughters, Denice Meyers of Dansville and Kelly
Fisher of Fairport; three step-daughters, Diane Forrester of Livonia,
Donna Johnson of Salisbury, Md., and Darla Jorgenson of Van Nuys,
Calif.; five brothers, John, Mark and Reid, all of Dansville, Lynn of
Swain and Neal of Ossian; three sisters, Lucy Isaman and Fern Weidman,
both of Dansville, and Mary Womack of Florida; eight grandchildren;
nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ruby Weidman.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Nov. 30 in Greenmount
Cemetery, Dansville, with the Rev. Lynn Nelson officiating.
Arrangements have been made by the Chamberlin Funeral Home of
Dansville. There are no prior calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dansville Ambulance Fund or
the Dansville Sports Booster Club in care of Tony Morrow." (GCE,
