  Notes	Arlene M. Weidman, 75, of Valley View Court in Dansville, passed away Tuesday evening (Oct. 23, 2001) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Dansville, June 3, 1926, a daughter of the late Grant H. and Bertha M. Smith Rose. On July 29, 1945, she became the loving wife of John J. Weidman, who survives. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth, Gordon and Gerald Rose. Arlene retired from Riedman Insurance as the Office Manager after several years of service. She had also worked for Goulds Redi Mix, Jack Mortons Insurance and the former GLF (AGWAY), all of Dansville and DHIC of Mt. Morris. She was a member of the Dansville Presbyterian Church, a former member of the Groveland Presbyterian Church. She was involved in the organization of the Cinderella Softball League in Dansville, and the Groveland Hill 4-H Club. Arlene was the Village of Dansville Court Clerk for her husband, Village Justice John J. Weidman for several years and was a member of the Republican Committee of the Town of North Dansville. She enjoyed baking, camping and arts and craft shows. Surviving in addition to her devoted husband, John, are her children to whom she was an outstanding mother, Douglas (Kathy) Weidman of Falls Church, Va., David (Cheryle) Weidman of Marietta, Ga., Michael (Andrea) Weidman of Troy, Mich., Gail Weidman of Dansville and Karen Weidman of Mt. Morris; her sisters, Joyce (Walter) Wester of Bradenton, Fla. and Carol (Dick) Waterhouse of Dansville; grandmother of Sean Weidman, Heather (Ian) Knight of Marietta, Autumn Weidman of New York City, Chelsea, Rachel and Grant Weidman of Troy, Mich. and Bridi Weidman of Hornell; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Dansville Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
