Halbert, died Friday (June 27, 2002) in Destin, Fla., after a long
illness.
He is survived by his children, Dana L. (Susan) Halbert of Maryland,
Dean L. and Duane L. Halbert of Alabama, Suzanne M. (Terry) Hutten,
and Sally M. (David) Schimpfi of New York. He has three grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
Walter was a past grand master of the Southernland Lodge and a WWII
veteran.
Services will be held at the graveside in Canaseraga Cemetery on
Saturday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. He will then be laid to rest with his
first wife, Mary (Allen) Halbert. Family and friends will then gather
at Stonybrook State Park for a reception.
