- Milton L. Holbrook, 71, of Main St., Dansville died Saturday evening,
Aug. 19, 2000 at home unexpectedly after a long illness. He was born
April 27, 1929 in Sparta, N.Y., the son of the late Earl and Elizabeth
A. (Peasley) Holbrook. He was married to Elizabeth A. (Schultz)
Holbrook who survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and had been
employed at the former Blum Shoe Factory prior to entering the
service. Following the service, he was employed at the former Kelly
Bros. Nursery in Dansville.
Milton was predeceased by a brother Jim Holbrook and one grandchild,
Shannon Schneckenburger. Besides his wife Elizabeth, he is survived by
three daughters, Carol Jean Trejo and Jane Pierce, both of Dansville
and Debra (Steve) Schneckenburger of West Henrietta; two brothers,
Arthur (Jean) Holbrook of Dansville and Carl (Evelyn) Holbrook of
Lockport, N.Y.; one sister, Dorothy Potter of Scio, N.Y.; seven
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private at the Chamberlin Funeral Home, Inc.,
73 Main St., Dansville with the Rev. Jamie Stevens officiating. Burial
will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansvillen
