  Notes	Jacob and his wife Margaret and their daughter Sophia sailed from LeHavre on the Normandie and arrived in New York on 16 July 1836. They settled in Wayland, New York. By the 1850 Census the family had added 6 more daughters; Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine, Louisa, and Harriet. One more daughter, Caroline, was born in 1852. Three of the daughters, Sophia , Margaret, and Mary, married three Folts brothers, Charles, Philip, and John, respectively. They were the sons of George Voltz/Folts and Barbara Honiger/Honiker. Elizabeth married Peter Knodal and moved to Bay City, Michigan. Caroline married Charles Conrad and moved to Naples, New York, where she also lived with her second husband, William Greisa. About 1866 Jacob married his second wife, Catherine Gross Isaman, who had ten sons. She died about six years later.
