  Notes	Died— At the home of her son, Wells A. Allen, at Lamson, Tues Dec 13, 1898, Sarah Ann, relict of Oscar Allen, aged 77 years. Mrs Sarah Allen was born in Granby, Oswego co, Jan 27, 1821, and was the daughter of Weston and Selina Allen, being one of a family of nine children, four of whom survive her namely : Mrs. Margaret Tollman, of Syracuse ; Mrs. S. Terpening, of Ira ; Mr. Ebenezer Allen, of Baldwinsville; Mr. George Allen, of Jacksonville, Miss Sarah A. Allen was united in marriage with Mr. Oscar F. Allen, March, 15, 1838. Oscar F. Allen was born at Skaneateles November 23,1815. Mr. and Mrs. Allen commenced housekeeping in Fulton, Oswego county, where they resided for about eight years. Then, they moved to Granby, living there Until their only son was of age, after which they moved to Little Utica and then to Baldwinsville, then on to Lamson, where her death occurred. Mr. and Mrs. Allen always lived with their son. their son. Her husband died several years ago. Wells A. Allen, her son, was born April 20 1839. Funeral services were held Friday. Rev. Dr. Beauchamp officiating. Interment in Jacksonville cemetery. (findagrave.com)
