He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, whose maiden name was Carrie B. McChesney whom he married in 1891; one half brother, Joseph Brooks, of Sonyea. The funeral was held at his late home on Monday, Rev. Mr. Raynard, pastor of M. E church, of Kanona. officiating. He was laid at rest in Nondaga Cemetery.
