    • Charlie owned and operated the Woodburn Monument Works in Canisteo
      from 1959 until 1982. He was a Canisteo Central School bus driver for
      35 years retiring in March of 1997. He was a Untied States Army
      veteran of the Korean War. He was a member and past master of Morning
      Star Lodge #65 F. & A.M. of Canisteo, a member of the American Legion
      and J.J. Mooney V.F.W. Post of Hornell. He was a former member of the
      Canisteo Fire Department. Charlie enjoyed playing the fiddle and was
      one of the founders of the Southern Tier Bluegrass Association. At
      the time of his death, he had four daughters and twelve grandchildren.
