She was born in Fall River, MA, with previous residences in Pittsford, NY, Great Falls, VA and Nashua, NH. Carol was a kind, loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as her travel adventures throughout New England with her devoted husband, Maury St. Laurent. They would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on September 16th. She was the daughter of Mary McCormick Miller of Alexandria, VA and the late Lawrence McCormick. Mother to her beloved daughters, Michelle Winkleblack and husband Grant of Simsbury, CT and the late Danielle St. Laurent and her surviving spouse Jimmy of Houston, TX; sister to brothers John McCormick and wife Amra of Alexandria, VA and the late Michael McCormick; she was also the loving grandmother to grandchildren, Lauren, Katie and Drew. Carol's family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all the wonderful people in the Oncology and Cancer Center units at the University of Connecticut Medical Center. Although she will be greatly missed by all who knew her, she inspired many with her incredible courage and strength.
