- ELTON YORKS
Elton Yorks of Dalton Rd. passed away Monday, Jan. 16,1978 in Warsaw. Yorks was born May 25,1900, in Hemlock, the son of Henry and Katharine Spatsker Yorks. He was a farmer all of his life, the last 40 years as a dairy farmer at his Dalton Rd. residence. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Honeoye Falls Grange. He is survived by his wife Ellen "Nellie" Adamson Yorks; one daughter, Mrs. William (Ruth) Hayes, Fairport; two sons, David of Honeoye Falls and John of Caledonia; three grand-children and one great-grand-child; one sister, Mrs. Derwin (Elva) Sackett of West Bloomfield; one brother, Donald of Pittsford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe St, Honeoye Falls at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Arthur Guild officiating. Interment will be in the West Bloomfield Cemetery. Friends wishing may make contributions to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
