  Notes	Dorothy, a Red Cross volunteer from many years, graduated from Alfred University in the teacher cerification program and taught in a one-room schoolhouse near Hornell for three years before her marriage to Roy in 1929. After her marriage she lived in Hamburg and worked for the Hamburg Central School District. She was school district treasurer and secretary to the superintendent when she retired in 1975. Active in Hamburg United Methodist Church, she served as a trustee and a member of the Memorial Committe and was appointed to several Women's Society posts. A Red Cross volunteer for 57 years she earned many awards for her dedication and service. She served most recently in the Hamburg Blood Donation Program. She enjoyed gardening, antiques and knitting. She was a member of the Hamburg Antique Study Group and the Hamburg Garden Club and was a life member of the Buelah Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
