  Notes	William Henry Price died on his way to California via the Isthmus of Panama in December of 1849. He was last heard from in New Orleans. The family believed his brother in-law George W. Noble hired someone to kill him, so that he could gain control of his planing mill and other real estate in Chicago. After George W. Noble's death in 1885, Charles H. Fox (Price's grandson) filed a law suit against the heirs of George W. Noble, 36 years after the death of William H. Price. William's son Henry Price joined Charles in the suit and they won. It also went to the Supreme Court and was upheld. Price and Fox were awarded $100,000 in 1890 and real estate in Chicago. It was covered extensively in the newspapers from 1886 to 1890.
