- BATH, Maxine Crossett, 74, of Circle Drive, died Tuesday (March 21, 2000) at the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 16, 1925 in Canisteo, the daughter of Orison and Gertrude Griswald Howe. She worked as a receptionist for the Steuben County Health Care Facility for 26 years, retiring from there in 1991.
Maxine was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and the Bath Fire Department Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Francis P. Crossett of Bath; two sons, Larry Crossett of Bath; Thomas (Phyllis) Crossett of Bath; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her brother, Donald Howe of Canisteo; four nieces and one nephew;
She was predeceased by her son David Crossett in 1952 and her sister Norma Kelly.
Friends may call at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath on Friday (March 24) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey McDowell officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Maxine's name may be made to the Bath Fire Department and the Bath Ambulance Corps.
