- EDWARD MITCHELSON, born in 1605; died Mar. 1682; married Ruth
Bushnell, in 1636. She was born about 1612; probably daughter
of Edward Bushnell, of Boston, 1676.
Edward Mitchelson, of Cambridge 1636. He was Marshall General of the
Colony, in 1654, at a salary of 50 pounds for many years. Had the sad
office of persecuting the Quakers, though, he was by Mitchell's
regiment in full communion with the church. He is not found in the
list of freeman.
His wife Ruth Bushell, came to America in the Abigail, in 1635, aged
23.
