He married (2) Elizabeth (Edson) Kingman, widow of John Kingman of Weymouth, and daughter of Deacon Samuel and Susannah (Orcutt) Edson of Bridgewater. She survived her second husband. He is made a freeman of Massachusetts Bay Colony, 8th May 1678. Richard Phillips of Weymouth, "being sick and weak of body" made his will 27th October 1695, and it was proved 19th December 1695.
