  Notes	A Mass of Christian Burial was said Saturday in St. Mary's Church for William A. Hayes, 84, of the Town of Springwater who died Thursday (Jan. 4, 1979) in Noyes Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was a native of Lawrence and had lived in the Dansville area most of his life. He was a retired employe at Stony Brook State Park. He was a member of St. Mary's Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Lander Hayes; three sons, William, Theodore and Robert of Dansville; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Lemen of Dansville and Mrs. Helen White of Springwater; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A prayer service was conducted in the Chamberlin Funeral Home. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. (GCE, January 11, 1979, p6)
