- Neil E. Price Sr. of Rochester, formerly of West Sparta, died Monday,
Oct. 10, 1994 after a brief illness.
He was born in South Dansville on May 31, 1930, the son of the late
Joseph and Alta Eveland Price Sr. Mr. Price was married in Wayland on
Nov. 27, 1948, to Bernice Smart Price, who survives.
Prior to his retirement, Neil had been a first class welder and
assembler at the Foster Wheeler Corp. in Dansville for 30 years.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, a member of the Foster
Wheeler Twenty-Five Year Club, and was a former member of the
Dansville Loyal Order of the Moose.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Darlene (Leon) Locy
of Canaseraga; two sons, Audet of Greece and Neil Jr. (Mary) of
Dansville; two sisters, Alice Knudsen of Homestead, FL, and Neva (Bud)
Gardner of West Sparta; one brother, Joseph (Neva) Price Jr. of
Wilmington, NC; five grand-children; two great-grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.
Friends called Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Chamberlin
Funeral Home Inc., 73 Main St., Dansville. A funeral mass will be held
today (Thursday) at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Joseph
Catanise officiating. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
