- DANSVILLE/AUSTIN, TEXAS - Todd Matthew Kenny, 35, formerly of
Dansville and Austin Texas, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 8,
2002 in Malaysia where he had been working for the past few weeks.
Todd was born in Dansville on June 5, 1967, a son of Brian Kenney and
Donna VanWagnen (Jack) Alvord. He was predeceased by his stepmother,
Kathy Kenney in 1996.
Todd was a 1985 graduate of Dansville Central School. He then attended
Environmental Science and Forestry College at Syracuse University,
where he earned his bachelor?s degree in microbiology in 1989. He was
employed as an environmental microbiologist at Microbach in Troy, N.Y.
and later transferred to Austin, Texas. Todd enjoyed hiking, fishing,
camping, music and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Surviving in addition to his parents Brian Kenney and Donna (Jack)
Alvord, both of Dansville, are three sisters: Christine (Scott)
Bindley, Kristina Jacobs and Cassandra (Jonathan) Boor, all of
Dansville; his maternal grandparents Donald (Cathy) VanWagnen, Carolyn
VanWagnen and Vera Kennedy; and parental grandparents Russell (Eileen)
Kenney, all of Dansville; nieces and nephews Brandon and Logan
Bindley, and Kailey, Connor and Madison Boor; and aunts, uncles,
cousins and many friends.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hindle Funeral Home,
271 Main St., Dansville. A memorial service will be held Saturday at
11 a.m. on the lawn at Stony Brook State Park (Lower Park), with the
Rev. Walter Conner officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn
Cemetery, Town of Dansville. A reception will be held at the Union
Hose Club rooms in Dansville following the memorial service on
Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one?s
