  Notes	James' boyhood was spent in Boston, where he attended the Brimmer School. He afterward entered the clothing business, but later kept a hat and cap store on Dock Square. He died March 10, 1892. His brother, Charles A. Burditt, joined the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company in 1881. James L. Burditt(1882), hatter, of Boston, was born in Boston in 1851. He resided in Harrison Square. He was honorably discharged from the Artillery Company Sept. 3, 1888.
