Born in Perry Center, he was an independent builder and constructed many homes in the area. He was a member of the Perry Center Volunteer Fire Company and First Congregational Church of Perry Center. In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Roy of Kansas City; a brother, Dean of Denton, Texas, and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, 59 Lake St., Perry. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
