- Ebenezer was sixteen years old when his father was killed at Sudbury,MA. Ebenezer was Deacon of the church in Milton and when died he left an estate valued at L860.0.2.. In the diary of Rev. William Holmes of Chilmark, it states, "1717, I am informed that July 31 one Deacon Wadsworth of Milton, brother of Rev. Benjamin Wadsworth, Pastor of the Old Church in Boston, went out that morning with the designs to rake together some hay, and that some time after, he was found lying upon his back with a rake across his breast stone dead, this man was esteemed truly pious." Ebenezer is buried in the Milton Cemetery. His widow Mary died almost twenty years later leaving a will.
