  Notes	Lloyd Moose wrote in the History of the Story Road(Sparta,NY), that Martha Scott, wife of Abraham Scott, taught school at the "Little Red School House" at Mt. Pleasant in the Sparta-Springwater area. She later lived at Prescott,Michigan. In the Reuben Hartman bible a note reads, "September 25th 1877, Martha went to Michigan." Although it's been said by Keith Kline, of Wayland, that Martha often came back to Sparta and visited family. After her husband Abram died, Martha opened a Dime Store in Prescott,Michigan which she ran for quite a time. She sold the store to her nephew, Clarence C. Scott and his wife Emily Jane(Poole) in 1925.
