She was the daughter of Almer Merriman [Mariman] and Lydia Driesbach. She was born and brought up in this place and her untimely death has cast a deep gloom over the entire community. And to make it still more sad she leaves an infant son only one week old. The funeral service was held at the Carney Hollow church on Monday at 11 o’clock, Rev. L.M. Dice, pastor of that church officiating; interment in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Besides her husband she leaves three children, the oldest a girl of 6 years, and two sons, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Almer Merriman [Mariman], and one brother, Lester of Dansville, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Hamsher of Wayland and Mrs. Fred Dilk of Conesus, besides a large circle of friends, schoolmates and acquaintances to mourn her loss. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their great bereavement.
