- COHOCTON - Helen J. Bill, age 75, passed away peacefully Friday (Nov. 9, 2007) at her home after a long illness.
Helen was born March 6, 1932, in Wayland, a daughter of Irwin and Mae (Mitchell) Finch. She was the wife of Harold G. Bill Jr.; he survives. She was a former owner and operator of BIll's Rest Home in Cohocton for many years, and she also had worked at the Canandaigua VA Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Roy Finch.
Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting and taking care of the elderly, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her husband, Harold G. Bill Jr., her children, Harold G. Bill III of Cohocton, Pamela Donovan and Patty (Steve) Shirmer, all of Wayland, and Penny Moore of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Chris Bill of Henrietta, Harold Bill IV and Chadd Bill, both of Syracuse, Michelle (Eric) Rowley of Brockport, and Amber Donovan of Wayland; her great-grandchildren, Collin, Kelsey, Taylor, Tyler, Dillan, Alex, Nate, Grace, Jonathon and Evan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Walter E. Baird and Sons Funeral Home, 100 E. Naples St., Wayland, where funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery, North Cohocton.
