  Notes	MRS. SOPHIA BILL DIED IN WAYLAND LAST WEEK Sophia Bill died at her home in Wayland, Monday morning, March 23, after a long, painful and severe illness of several months at the age of 62 years. Mrs. Bill spent nearly all her life in Wayland, where she was born on May 15, 1851, being the second daughter of Valentine and Katherine Kausch who came to this country from Germany. She was married to John Nicholas Bill, of Wayland, in 1866. whose death occurred November 5, 1880. She was a life member of the German Lutheran church at Perkinsville and an active member of the Tabea society. She is survived by one son and two daughters, Edward Bill, of Springwater. Hattie B. Skinner of Wayland, and Lola A. Branch, of New York; also four grandchildren, Hallie Skinner, Lester, Floyd and Mabel Bill. (The Steuben Courier, Bath, New York, Friday, April 3, 1914)
