  Notes	A funeral service was conducted in the Chamberlin Funeral Home Sunday for Erwin S. Lander, 72, of R.D. 2 who died Thursday (Jan. 24, 1963) following a brief illness.0 Mr. Lander was born in Perkinsville and had resided in this area all his life. He was a farmer. Surviving are his wife, the former Larena Wellington; three sons, Earl of South Dansville, Milton of Wayland and Elmer of Atlanta; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Schubmehl of Wayland, Mrs. Florence Smith and Mrs. Doris Alger of Hornell, Mrs. Mildred Simmons and Mrs. Cecil Holbrook of Dansville; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Emma Gottschall of South Dansville. The Rev. Richard Olsen, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, South Dansville. (DB, January 29, 1963, p1)
