- Gladys L. Henderson, 90, formerly of Clinton St., in Dansville, passed away Monday (January 5, 1998) in the Emergency Room at Columbia Hospital in Hudson, Fla. after being stricken at home.
Born in Wayland on November 6, 1907, a daughter of William and Mary Ann Kimble Clayton. She was predeceased by her husbands, George Miller Kingston and R. Crawford Henderson.
Gladys was the admissions director at Highland Hospital in Rochester and was instrumental in organizing the Admissions Department at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She and her late husband Crawford were the former owners of the Black and White Farm in Groveland.
She was a member of the Today's Widow, the Highland Hospital Retirees and a past board member of the Dansville Economic Development Corporation.
Gladys is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George Mark and Yvonne Kingston of Port Orange, Fla.; two daughters, Mary Ann Kingston of Middlesex, N.Y., and Christine E. Larger of Arlington, Va.; her sister Goldia Hubbell of Livonia; her sister and brother-in-law Edna and Charles Smith of Port Richey, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Frances Clayton of Dansville; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including her niece and long time companion Anita Stewart of Dansville.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
