    Notes 
    • May 1900 - Jesse was staying at his parents home in Almond after receiving his discharge from the Army, having done service in the Philippines. He then departed for Los Angeles, Cal and from there will go to Arizona to become the assistant Superintendent of a mining enterprise.
      Jan 1901 - Jesse was back in Almond visiting relatives. He left last Spring intending to go to Arizona where he expected to engage in the mining enterprise. He never reached there. At St.Louis he encountered the big street car strike and was fortunate in getting a position with the St.Louis Traction Company as claim agent on the northern divisions of their system, which position he has since held. This position that carries with it considerable responsbility and a comfortable salary.
