Friday, December 2, 1927 WAYLAND DEATH CLAIMS AN AGED WAYLAND RESIDENT Mrs. Emma Steffy Passes Away At Her Home On East Avenue Wayland. Nov. 27 — Mrs.- Emma Steffy died at her home on East avenue, Friday morning, November 18, aged 71 years. Mrs. Steffy was born and had always lived in the town of Springwater until coming to Wayland four years ago. She is survived by two grandchildren, Lee Lawrence and Mrs. Dale Dtraight, and four great grandchildren, Mr. Steffy died nine years ago and an only daughter, Mrs. Edward Lawrence died three years ago. Funeral services were held at the home, Tuesday afternoon, at 1:30 and at 2:00 o'clock at the Carney Hollow church. Rev. C. H. Whitehead, pastor of the First Evangelical church, officiating.
