- ARKPORT - Larry Thomas Lemen, 59, of NYS Route 36 in Arkport, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 16, 2003, at home following a long illness.
He was born in Dansville, on Sept. l, 1943, a son of the late Tom Charles and Martha Rose Holden Lemen. On June 28, 1963, he was married to the former Jean Hadley who survives.
Larry was employed as an engineer and foreman at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell for the past 14 years. He was a former employee at Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. in Dansville and Auckland Farms of Arkport.
Larry enjoyed coin collecting, working in the garden and spending time with his wife, Jean and his children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his dear wife Jean are his son, Jeffery (Cindi) Lemen of Arkport; two daughters, Joni Jean (Jeffrey) Lobdell of Dearborn, Mich. and Jeni Lynn Cook of Burns; two brothers, Richard (Marilyn) Lemen of Dansville and Lewis (Lillian) Lemen of Groveland; a sister, Anita (Wilbur) Burger of South Dansville; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Fox officiating. Following cremation, interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, South Dansville.
