- A former Dansville RD 3 woman, Mrs. Virginia Halbert, 44, died Sunday (Mar. 11, 1979) in Council, Idaho, following a short illness.
Mrs. Halbert, the former Virginia C. Stauffer, was born in West Virginia but had resided most of her life in Dansville. She moved to Council two months ago. She had been employed as a therapy aide for 10 years at the Craig Developmental Center and was a member of the Revival Tabernacle.
Surviving are her husband, Roy of Council; a son, Nicholas A. Mirandez of Dansville; two daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Price and Miss Patricia Mirandez, both of Dansville; two grandsons; five brothers, Arthur, Earl, Ira and Robert Stauffer of Dansville and Clarence Stauffer of West Virginia; five sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Chasey, Mrs. Florence Halbert and Mrs. Kay Young of Dansville, Miss Fay Stauffer of North Carolina and Mrs. Phyllis Neidzwick of Florida; her step-mother, Mrs. Rosetta Stauffer of Dansville; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted at 2 O'Clock this afternoon in the Chamberlin Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Kiehle Cemetery, East Sparta.
