  Notes	DANSVILLE - Helen C. Rauber, 93, formerly of Dansville, passed away late Tuesday evening, Oct. 21, 2003 at the Hornell Gardens Nursing Home after a long illness. Helen was born in West Sparta on May 14, 1910, a daughter of the late Ray and Pearl Taylor Chasey. She was the widow of Carl Higgins and Bud Rauber. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Carpenter. Helen was retired from the former Blum Shoe Factory in Dansville. She was a member of the Dansville United Methodist Church, a former member of the West Sparta United Methodist Church, and a member of the Navy Mother's Association. Helen is survived by her three sons Ronald (Doreen) Higgins of Dansville, Gary (Morella) Rauber of the Dominican Republic and Brian (Lou Ann) Rauber of Apalachin, N.Y.; a sister, Dale (Bernie) Morgan, also of Dansville; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends called Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville. A funeral service was held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Dansville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jamie Stevens officiating. Interment was in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dansville Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 235, Dansville, NY 14437.
