- Elias Benton of White Sulphur Springs was buried at Parksville Tuesday by Undertaker Brand. Benton, whose age was 70, was an old woodsman and hunter of the Egypt section, and was the man who about two years ago, while out hunting, mistook a boy’s gray cap for a woodchuck and sent a bullet through the hain of a son of Alfred Bryon, who was sitting on the opposite side of a rock, with nothing visible to Benton but the cap.
