A graduate of Seminole High School, Michael went on to attend Seminole Community College. He began a 21 year career working in various positions at Kennedy Space Center. Finally having to go on disability due to Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer, he began to wage a 2 1/2 year battle with the disease. During his spare time, Michael loved to go to Walt Disney World. When his illness stopped him from working, he became a volunteer for the Orlando Theatre Project. He was a member of the Markham Woods Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir.
