FOX, 1899, Woburn ~~~~~~~~~ Thomas was the son of Samuel Fox of England and the grandson of John Fox of Boston, Lincolnshire, England, the Martyrologist. Son Jabez, born 1647, Baptised at Concord, Harvard College graduate in 1665, to bear up the uncertain traditional, ascribed to him of descent from the author of the "Book of Martyrs".It should be noted that there were two men named Thomas Fox who lived in Concord soon after its settlement. The elder Fox came from England in one of the vessels of Gov. Winthrop's Fleet in 1630. He later moved to Cambridge and is known as Thomas Fox of Cambridge. Both Thomases, as well as Richard of Glastonbury, Connecticut has a distinct line of widely scattered descendents. They may have been related, but proof is lacking.Thomas was a Greeman at Concord, Mass. 1638. Removed to Cambridge in 1649"
