- Lisbon - Marjorie L. Mitchell, 76 of 618 E. Lincoln Way, died at 3:10 p.m. Saturday at Essex of Salem following a long illness.
Born December 29, 1925 in North Lima, she was the daughter of John and Lillian (Malone {from Father's Obit states Mother's maiden name Rogers}) Ward.
A homemaker, Mrs. Mitchell was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lisbon, where she and her husband were the first couple ever to be married in the new church.
She was also a member of the Iva Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a 1943 graduate of David Anderson High School.
She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Mitchell, whom she married Oct 27, 1950; a son, Jeffrey L. Mitchell of Randolph, Oh.; a daughter, Karen S. Mitchell of Delaware, Oh.; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Weber Funeral Home in Lisbon with Rev. David Nikkel of the church officiating. No calling hours will be held.
Mrs. Mitchell will be buried at the Lisbon Cemetery.
Memorial tributes may be made to the Alzheimer's disease charity of the donor's choice.
