- MRS. CHESTER M. BLISS BOLIVAR
Mrs. Madolin C. Bliss, 78, of 137 Shaner Ave., died Thursday (May 8,1980) in Jones Memorial Hospital, shortly after being admitted.
Born June 17, 1901 in Wellsville, she was a daughter of Winston and Ruby Chandler Childs.
She was married to Carl W. Walchli, who. predeceased her in 1940.
In 1946 she married Chester M. Bliss, who died in 1958.
Mrs. Bliss was a member of the Bolivar Methodist Church; was past grand royal matron Order of Amaranth from 1934 to 1955; was past matron of the Friendship Court 59 of the Amaranth; and was a 50 year member of the Burton Chapter 129 Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Bliss had formerly lived in Wellsville, and Little Genesee for many years.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Charlotte Blizzard of Ambler, PA; and Mrs. Elizabeth Koneski of Willow Grove, PA; a stepson, Thomas Bliss of Bolivar; and a nephew.
Friends may call at the J.W. Embser Sons’ Funeral Home, Wellsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Saturday (May 10,1980) at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. William R. Horn, pastor of the Bolivar Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
