He was born Sept 13, 1909 in Elyria, Ohio, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fenno Fay Barratt. He had been engaged in farming in Hamlin for a few years before coming to Leicester. He had been on the present farm for the past 35 years. He is survived by his widow, Virginia Wilkins Barratt, and a son, Fay Lester, both of Leicester and an aunt, Mrs John W. Morris of Avon and several cousins. Friends may call at W. S. Rector and Son Funeral Chapel, 111 Main St., Geneseo, today from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service will be held Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in Leicester Cemetery. A funeral service for Mr. Barratt will be held at 2:30 pm tomorrow at Rector's Funeral Chapel, Geneseo, with the Rev. Richard Buterbaugh of Leicester Presbyterian Church officiating.
