  Notes	Parents James Meads & Hannah Amos Came to Michigan in 1855. In 1858 he graduated from the University of Michigan & became a doctor, later a pharmacist. In 1859 he started his practice in Somerset, Michigan where he met and married his wife. In 1860 he was living in Moscow, Michigan. In 1876 he became Olivet twp. treasurer. He was Olivet township clerk for 18 years. 1883 because of health problems he stopped practicing medicine. Then he bought and ran a drug store & grocery store.
