- John F. Lander of Rockford, Illinois; died in that city on the 7th of May, after a long and painful illness, in his 47th year. Mr. Lander was formerly a resident of this vicinity, but for many years has been prominent and highly esteemed business man in Rockford. The lodges of Odd Fellows and Masons of which he was a member, passed resolutions of respect for his memory and sympathy for his bereaved family, and attended his funeral. Many friends in this section will mourn the death of Mr. Lander.
