  Notes	Removed to Bristol,NY. Was the first deacon of the First Congregational Church, E. Bloomfield. Also helped survey the Bristol and Richmond areas in 1789. Lot # 3, Muttonville. He had been the Deacon in Dighton, Bristol Co. , Mass. Congregational Church. Served in the Mass. Legislature in 1775 and was Justice of the Peace 1781 in Dighton, and also Bristol 1793 to 1805. Served as Lieut, NY Militia 1804, and in 1805 his son George Lieut, NY Militia and later Captain. Another son William, Ensign and Major in NY Militia. Deacon George Codding and son George traveled over Susquehanna route from Dighton to Bristol, 1788-1789, soon followed by sons John, Faunce, Burt and William. They drew lot number3 in Mass. lottery.
