    V. Wesley Weidman of Surrey Park in Wilmington, Del., a former Dansville resident, died Sunday (Sept. 5, 1987) in Wilmington Hospital. He was 71.
    The former Dansville man was a ceramic engineer at the Dupont Co. Experimental Station at Chestnut Run Site in Wilmington. He retired in 1976 after 35 years of service and then co-founded the Wesolite Mineral Products Co. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and Granite Lodge No. 34, F.&A.M.

    Surviving are his wife, Annabelle; a son, Vern Jr. of Westchester, Pa.; three daughters, Emily Weidman, Nancy Ortiz and Frances Dahl, all of Reading, Mass.; two stepsons, William Bradley III of Hockessin, Del., and Robert Bradley of Linfield, Del.; a stepdaughter, Deborah Pepe of Townsend, Del.; two sisters, Marie Shepard of Fort Worth, Tex., and Rosalie Murphy of Sanford, N.C.; eight grandchildren.

    A graveside committal service was conducted Friday morning in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville, with the Rev. James Bender officiating. Arrangements were by the Hindle Funeral Home of Dansville. (GCE, September 17, 1987, p4)
