    Ruth Sanford, 96, formerly of 24 Seward St., Dansville, died Sunday (May 5, 1991) at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. Born Aug. 5, 1894, she was the daughter of George H. and Catherine Cook Milliman. She was a member of the Ossian Ladies Aid Society and the Dansville Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Jay A. Sanford of Springhill, Fla., and James D. Sanford of Victor; one brother, Leonard Milliman of Ossian; a sister, Onolee Moore of Dansville; eight grandchildren. Mrs. Sanford was predeceased by three brothers Ivan (1965), Doley (1981) and Clyde (1990) Milliman and a sister, Luella Gillman (1990). Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Ossian. A memorial service will be conducted next month at a time to be announced by the Hindle Funeral Home, Dansville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dansville Ambulance Fund.

    Leonard W. Milliman age 79, of Sugar Creek Road in Ossian, passed away early Sunday morning (August 2, 1998) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, due to complications from heart surgery. He was born in Ossian on December 9, 1918, a son of George H. and Catherine I. Cook Milliman. On October 27, 1939, he was married to June I. Kline who survives. He was predeceased by his son Larry in December of 1994, Five sisters Ruth Sanford, Onalee Moore, Luella Gillman, Lottie Dilgard and Virginia French, and three brothers Doley, Clyde and Ivan Milliman. Leonard worked at the Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. in Dansville for 37 years retiring in 1978 as a Tube Pointer in the Tube Shop. He was a member of the Twenty-Five Year Club at Foster Wheeler, the Loyal Order of the Moose # 1130 of Dansville and had enjoyed fishing and trading cars. Surviving in addition to his devoted wife June is his daughter, Donna (Angelo) Abby of Geneseo, two grandsons Jeff (Molly) Kreiley of Groveland Hill and Greg (Sue) Kreiley of Alfred Station and five great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no prior calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville, with the Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, Ossian.     Jay A. Sanford, 72, of Valley View Court, Dansville, passed away Wednesday Oct. 6, 1993 in St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell, N.Y. following a long illness. Born in West Sparta on Nov. 20, 1920, he was the son of Neal and Ruth Milliman Sanford. On Sept. 4, 1942 he married Barbara Meyer who survives. He was employed as a truck driver for 35 years, he retired from Shay's Services Inc. of Dansville on April 1, 1991 after 13 years of service. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamster's No. 375 of Buffalo, the Daniel Goho Post of the American Legion and the Frank J. Casbolt VFW Post both of Dansville and the Dansville United Methodist Church. He was a very skilled hunter and fisherman. Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara are two sons, Douglas Sanford of Dansville and Thomas Sanford of Flower Mound, Texas; two daughters, Dinah Belanger of Conesus and Susan Rodin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a brother, James D. Sanford of Victor and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Aleta Knapp. There will be no prior calling hours. A funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 8, 1993 at 11 a.m. in the Dansville United Methodist Church with the Rev. G. Calvin Sheasley officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Ossian. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Dansville United Methodist Church, 5 Chestnut Ave. or the Dansville Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 235, both of Dansville, N.Y. 14437.     Mr. Milliman was born Dec, 1, 1940 in Dansville, the son of Leonard W.
    and June Kline Milliman. He had resided with his parents all of his
    life.
    Larry was an avid baseball fan and could quote extensive statistics
    from memory. He also collected clocks and pig mementos.
    He enjoyed rides through the countryside with his parents and was a
    country music devotee. Larry loved animals and the outdoors and could
    identify most all of the native birds in the area. He was particularly
    fond of the hummingbirds.
    Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Donna (Angelo) Abby
    of Geneseo; two nephews, Jeffrey Kreiley of Groveland and Gregory
    Kreiley of West Sparta; and an uncle, Keith Kline of Wayland.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hindle Funeral
    Home, Dansville, with the Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating. There were
    no prior calling hours. Interment was in West View Cemetery, Ossian.
