- Goldia I. Hubbell, age 95, formerly of Clinton St. in Dansville passed away early Wednesday morning, April 8, 1998, in Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville after being transferred from the Conesus Lake Nursing Home where she had been a resident for several years.
She was born in Wayland on September 27, 1902, a daughter of William and Mary Kimball Clayton. She was the widow of Carl Hubbell who died in 1956. She was also predeceased by a sister Gladys Henderson on January 5, 1998, and four brothers Otis, Dorr, Scott and Leo Clayton.
Goldia was employed by Sears and Roebuck as a receiving clerk for several years. She was a member of the Dansville Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a sister Edna (Charles) Smith of Port Richey, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Francis Clayton, of Dansville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday April 18, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville, with the Rev. Jamie Stevens officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Springwater.
