  Notes	Mrs. Sophia Hughes died last Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs E. H. Kidd, on Seward Street. She was eighty three years of age and was born in Germany, having come to this country seventy years ago. Besides Mrs. Kidd, one more child survives, Martin B. Hughes of Sparta. The funeral was held on Saturday from the the house, the burial taking place at the Kiehle cemetery in Sparta. (Dansville Breeze, Tuesday, October 4, 1898)
