    LEICESTER - John C. Sliker, age 82 of 101 Main Street, Leicester, N.Y., died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Livingston County Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, N.Y.

    He was born the son of Clarence and Gladys (Lines) Sliker on September 19 in 1928.

    He is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Dorothy; two children, Robert (Lisa) Sliker of Greece and Sandra (Mark) Walek of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Robert Sliker of Rochester, Daryl Walek and Rene (Chris) Shepard both of North Carolina; brother, Shelby (Lois) Sliker of Leicester; sister-in-law, Claire Vandereedt of Florida; many nieces and nephews including Linda Burdick. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Gladys Sliker and sister, Ethel Martz.

    No prior calling. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. at the Leicester Presbyterian Church. The Reverend David Missel officiating. Interment Leicester Cemetery.
