    Resided in Washington, DC after the war then to Montana and back to Washington where he worked in the Interior General Land Office as a lawyer and US Dept. of the Interior. He corresponded frequently about his fellow 141st members later in life, attending reunions and such. His last letter to George Burditt, fellow F Co. 141st was dated Nov 1913 (2 months before is death) he wrote of hearing from another former 141st comrade, Ed Ward (a light haired boy abt George's age)...he wrote that they were looking forward to upcoming reunion and encourage George to write him, as Secretary (assume of the GAR 141st).
